Event Details

Through the lens of two distinct practices and areas of expertise – architecture and sustainability consulting – this lecture and panel discussion will explore how both groups view the energy modeling process. The event will begin with individual presentations, including case studies, that will lead to a broader discussion about practice, challenges, and synergies between architects and energy modeling consultants committed to high-performance building design.

This dialogue will seek to better understand processes and insights about the importance of energy modeling in architecture and discuss how early design simulations and data exchange between architecture and consultant teams can be improved.

Speakers:
Julie Willem, Intl. Assoc. AIA, CPHC; Architect Partner, A2M architecture
Justin Downey, Technical Director and Principal, RWDI
