Event Details

This event serves as both an end-of-year committee celebration and the launch of the AIANY Diversity & Inclusion Committee’s special project, a research initiative and survey focusing on issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across AIANY membership. Some initial findings from the EDI survey were released in conjunction with the Center for Architecture's exhibition A Call to Act!vism Echoing Whitney Young, 50 Years Later, linking survey efforts to the historic challenge issued by Whitney Young during his keynote speech at the 1968 AIA Conference. The committee hopes that the research findings and supporting information will serve as a genesis for dialogues around necessary cultural shifts in the profession and as a resource for industry members and leaders to set actionable goals in their respective organizations in the years to come.

Speakers:
Danei Cesario, AIA, NCARB, NOMA, Associate, Array Architects
Elisa Holland, Assoc. AIA, Freelance Architectural Designer
