The AIANY Transportation and Infrastructure Committee hosts a panel discussion on the Regional Plan Association’s Fourth Regional Plan. The plan contains a series of ideas to create a more dynamic, customer-oriented transportation system over the next 25 years. It explores what that would mean from redesigning Penn Station to allow for safer, better flow of passengers and a more integrated regional rail network; expanding our region’s airports to give our economy room to grow; reimagining bus service using modern technology; and rethinking how we use our city street space as the automated vehicle era dawns.

Speakers:
Mark Ahasic, Principal, Ahasic Aviation Advisors
Rich Barone, Vice President for Transportation, Regional Plan Association
Tabitha Decker, Deputy Executive Director, Transit Center
Jill Lerner, Principal, KPF
Lou Venech, Manager of Regional Transportation, Policy at the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey

Moderator:
Kate Slevin, Senior Vice President, State Programs, Regional Plan Association
