Event Details

In July 2021, Kristen Richards, Hon. AIA, Hon. ASLA, passed away. Join us for an evening featuring some things she loved: lively stories, deep conversation, and connecting with friends.

At AIA New York, we are forever indebted to Kristen for the 13 years she served as editor of our quarterly publication, Oculus. Alongside the Oculus Committee, Kristen led the magazine from 2003 to 2016, during which time she brought her unique flair, incisive intelligence, and passionate dedication to every issue she produced. She was even more important to the larger community through ArchNewsNow and her indefatigable participation in architectural culture throughout New York, the United States, and the world.

As a tribute to her support of the Architecture Dialogue Committee’s Cocktails and Conversation series and her work on the program series’ publication, please join us for a dialogue among professional peers who will discuss Kristen’s most important legacy: her facility for making connections and enriching the practice of architecture by disseminating need-to-know stories and trends to everyone.

A red cocktail, inspired by Kristen, will be introduced by mixologists Toby Ceccini and David Moo.
