Event Details

Please join us for a panel organized by the AIANY Historic Buildings Committee. Project leads from John G. Waite Associates, Architects and additional project team members on the preservation and engineering sides will join us to discuss the reinvention of Thomas Jefferson’s Rotunda at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, to serve as the centerpiece for a 21st-century university. How did the architects combine physical evidence with archival research to return the rotunda to the center of Jefferson’s Academical Village? The Restoration of the Rotunda was awarded a 2019 AIA Award for Architecture, which was presented at the A'19 Conference on Architecture in Las Vegas in June.

This event will be livestreamed. Please visit the Center for Architecture Facebook page at the time of the event to watch the panel online.
